PLANTING AND MATURE TREE ON THE NORTH SHORE

Our horticulturist will suggest the most appropriate options for your home, taking into consideration the shapes, flowering periods, colors and sunshine at the location.

Planting

The best time to plant a tree or shrub is during fall season. However it is possible to plant out in the spring, right before warm summer days.

Note that if you plant in the spring you will need to water more regularly in the first year after planting.

Mature tree planting

Large trees are an interesting option to create a shadow area or to build a screen in order to get more privacy. Early after the plantation, you will have the impression that this tree has been there for a long time. There is no risk of acquiring them, nor of worrying about their recovery.

It is important to distinguish between large size at planting and large size at maturity. The first means that at the time of planting the tree is already large. However it can be large at planting and remain small even when mature. On the contrary it can be large when planting and become large once mature.
